About the Instructor:
Barbara C. Decker, CD(DONA) HBCE, CCCE has been a Childbirth Instructor since 1971. In 1992, she had a wonderful experience receiving her doula training from Penny Simkin. In 2000, she was exposed to the added knowledge of hypnosis in birth and became a HypnoBirthing practitioner two years later. Today, she continues to share her passion for Hypnobirthing and the advantages this knowledge offers. She believes doulas have all the tools necessary to assist in childbirth, but HypnoBirthing and other hypnosis trained practitioners can add something special to the birth experience. The calm environment created for families and medical staff through the use of hypnosis is being recognized and appreciated according to our Hypnobirthing Statistics 2007 Barbara looks forward to seeing more doulas participate in the calming effects of HypnoBirthing!
